The naga in the 40-animal table
The table gives animal no. k the number k, then k + 40 and k + 80 while the result stays under 100. The naga is no. 26, so it carries 26 and 66. The table comes from the Lao lottery and is used by most Thai lucky-number sites; some Thai dream books give other digits, since there is no official table.
From the animal to 2, 3 and 6 digits
The tool writes the naga's numbers in a row with the first one, 26, at the end: 6626. It then pads the left with the carrier digit 2 up to six digits: 226626. The 3 digits are 626 and the 2 digits are 26, the end of the six-digit number, just as the last-digit prizes are read on a ticket.
Carrier digit, reversed numbers and the 19 doors
The digits of 226626 add up to 24, which reduces to the carrier digit 6. The 2 digits 26 reverse to 62, and the 3 digits can be arranged as 266, 626 and 662. The 19 doors of 6 are 06, 16, 26, 36, 46, 56, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 76, 86, 96.
