Lucky Numbers from Life Events
In Thailand, people love to “ตีเลข”: to read numbers in what happens to them. An animal crossing the road, the plate of a car parked outside, a hotel room number, a birthday or a striking dream all become “เลขเด็ด”, lucky numbers. Pick one or more events: the tool converts them with the 40-animal table and the most common methods, shows every step, prints them on a stylised ticket and tells you when the next Thai government lottery draw takes place. It is a game built on tradition, just for fun: no calculation changes the odds of a draw.

Lucky Numbers from Life Events
How it works
Each event first becomes a string of digits. A plate or a number you saw (room, house, bus, receipt) gives its digits as they are; Thai numerals ๑๒๓ are accepted. A date becomes Buddhist-era year, month and day, two digits each: 25 October 2026 (BE 2569) gives 69 10 25. A name gives the value of each letter, then their total. A dream reuses the six-digit number our dream interpreter gives for the same story: same text, same number.
For animals we follow the 40-animal table (ตำราเลขนามสัตว์), the one used by the Lao lottery and repeated by most Thai lucky-number sites: animal number k carries k, then k + 40 and k + 80 as long as the result stays under 100. The snake (no. 32) carries 32 and 72, the elephant (no. 13) 13, 53 and 93, the tiger (no. 6) 06, 46 and 86. We checked the full table on Shopee Thailand's blog and matching excerpts in Bangkok Biznews and Thaiger. Thai dream books sometimes give other digits for the same animal (the snake is often linked to 5 and 6): there is no official table, so we use the most widespread one.
Thai letters in a plate or a name are read with the most common Thai numerology table (เลขศาสตร์), the one used by lucky-name sites such as thaibabyname.com: ก ด ถ ท ภ are worth 1, ข ช ง บ ป 2, ค ธ ญ ร ษ 4, and so on up to ฏ ฐ worth 9. Vowels and tone marks have values too. A name written in Latin letters follows the Western table (A = 1, B = 2 … I = 9, J = 1). For a plate, the letter total is shown for information only: only the digits go into the calculation.
The string of digits is then brought to six digits: we keep the last six or, if it is shorter, pad it on the left with its carrier digit (the root of the sum of its digits). When you combine several events, their six-digit numbers are added column by column without carrying (8 + 5 = 13, keep 3). The 3 digits are the end of the 6, and the 2 digits the end of the 3: exactly how the “last 3 digits” and “last 2 digits” prizes are read on a real ticket.
The tool adds the readings Thai number fans use most. “เลขวิ่ง”, the running digit, is a single digit believed to come up in any position; each school finds it differently, and the tool uses a method you can check: add the six digits, then add again until one digit is left. “เลขกลับ” reverses the digits: 32 becomes 23, and 327 is listed in every order. “รูด 19 ประตู”, the 19 doors, are the 19 numbers from 00 to 99 that contain the carrier digit. Finally, the 40-animal table tells you which animal carries your 2 digits.
The Thai government lottery (สลากกินแบ่งรัฐบาล) normally draws on the 1st and the 16th of each month, in the afternoon. Some draws move every year: 1 January moves to the 2nd (New Year), 16 January to the 17th (Teachers' Day) and 1 May to the 2nd (Labour Day), as Thairath's archives for BE 2568 and 2569 show. One-off changes are announced during the year: the 16 December 2026 draw takes place on the 17th because of the royal cremation ceremony (announcement reported by Sanook on 14 October 2026). The official date can always change, so check the Government Lottery Office website, glo.or.th.

Go furtherNumerologyFrequently asked questions
- How do I get lucky numbers from something that happened to me?
- Pick what you experienced (an animal, a plate, a number, a date, a dream or a name) and the tool turns it into digits, showing every step. You can combine up to four events: their numbers are added column by column. The result gives 2, 3 and 6 digits that fit together, like on a ticket.
- What number is the snake in the Thai animal table?
- In the 40-animal table (ตำราเลขนามสัตว์), the snake is no. 32 and carries 32 and 72. The elephant carries 13, 53 and 93, the tiger 06, 46 and 86, the cat 14, 54 and 94, the dog 11, 51 and 91. Some Thai dream books link the snake to the digits 5 and 6 instead: traditions vary.
- When is the next Thai lottery draw?
- Normally on the 1st and the 16th of each month, in the afternoon. The 1 January draw usually moves to the 2nd, 16 January to the 17th and 1 May to the 2nd. One-off changes are sometimes announced (16 December 2026 becomes the 17th). The tool shows the next date, but only the Government Lottery Office's official announcement counts.
- What does “รูด 19 ประตู” (19 doors) mean?
- It is a popular way to play one digit on the last two digits: you take the 19 numbers from 00 to 99 that contain that digit (for 5: 05, 15, 25 … 95 and 50, 51 … 59, with 55 counted once). The tool highlights them on a 100-cell grid.
- What is “เลขกลับ” (reversed numbers)?
- Turning the number around: 32 becomes 23. For 3 digits, people say “6 กลับ” when all three digits differ (327, 372, 237, 273, 723, 732); there are only 3 orders if two digits are the same, and just one for 777.
- Do these numbers improve my chances of winning?
- No. In every draw, every number has exactly the same probability: a ticket has a 1 in 100 chance of winning the last-2-digits prize and 1 in 1,000,000 of winning the first prize, however its digits were chosen. This tool is entertainment based on Thai traditions.
- How old do you have to be to buy a lottery ticket in Thailand?
- The Government Lottery Act forbids selling tickets to anyone under 20, and the Government Lottery Office's rules require you to be at least 20 to claim a prize. Underground lotteries (หวยใต้ดิน) are illegal. If gambling worries you, the mental health hotline 1323 answers free of charge, 24 hours a day.
