Seated on a rock with legs down and hands on his knees; an elephant offers him water and a monkey a honeycomb.
Weary of the quarrels among the monks of Kosambī, the Buddha withdrew alone to the Pārileyyaka forest for the rains retreat. An elephant looked after him and brought him water; a monkey, seeing this, offered him honey. The scene speaks of peace found in solitude.

The ruling body of Wednesday night is Phra Rahu (พระราหู), the eclipse planet, ruler of Wednesday night, shown riding a garuda (ครุฑ). On the ทักษา wheel it sits in the northwest, with the number 8.
The color of Wednesday night is smoky grey or black. The color tradition advises avoiding is orange: it belongs to Thursday, which holds the obstacle (kalakini) position on your ทักษา wheel. Many Thais only avoid it for important occasions.
The number of Wednesday night is 8, its planet's rank in the ทักษา. Its strength (กำลังวัน) is 12: the number of times the chant of the day's Buddha is recited.
